can anybody tell me if my friends inactive AIM account is hacked?

my friend kenny died last year me and my other friends dont really know how he died nor we did we even remember, the school just told us he had and forgot to tell us how he died. our friend eric got a message from kenny, he started typing in our AIM chatroom we dont use freaking out and making accusations that kenny faked his death just to fuck with us. me and stan our other other friend dont believe the stuff eric is saying so we both just think that his account just got hacked since hackings are common on AIM with AIM accounts eric just blaming me of stuff i didnt do. we are just all freaking out and we dont know what to do so im making this site to try to get advice on how to deal with this. thanks :^)!

UPDATE 10/30/2002 cylde told me about this rumor about the school locking kenny in the basement. i doubt it's even true since he didnt really give that much details about it or about who even told him. i might ask him more about it though

UPDATE 10/31/2002 this "kenny" started saying weird and uncomfortable things to us. and sending really fishy links that we were all too scared to click on he also started sending random numbers and letters we still dont know who this douchebag is but we are REALLY getting sick of him trying to impersonate our friend. if anybody from school or someone random person on the internet good with this stuff please help! especially with the number stuff because we dont know if it's a code or he was just keyboard smashing. also happy halloween!

UPDATE 11/1/2002 i dont have alot for this but we started asking "kenny" questions like questions only the actual kenny would know the answer too. he wouldnt answer the majority of them and if he did he would always be vauge about it. im noticing alot of vaugeness about this guy.

UPDATE 11/2/2002 we went to kenny's house today. we were exploring it for a little bit untill we asked mrs and mr McCormick about kenny. Mrs mcCormick just started freaking out. we had to leave the house because of it. "kenny" only said hi in the chatroom and sent a really weird image i cant really show.

UPDATE 11/3/2002 im thinking about telling kenny's parents about whats happening to us. i feel bad for keeping it to myself but i just dont want his family to start freaking out.

UPDATE 11/6/2002 he's just been spamming our chatroom. its weird. he keep sending weird images.. we dont even wanna check that chatroom because of it.
